Frequently Asked Questions

After receiving the submitted proposal, completed credentialing information, and payment it usually takes up to 3 days to start a project. This is subject to change so please check specifically with your sales consultant before signing.

In some states it takes no more than 45-60 days, while in others it takes much longer, so we usually estimate between 130-160 days to fully credential a new provider. If you have existing group agreements, however, the number of days decreases dramatically. Additionally, with Medicare we can credential providers much more rapidly, with some providers credentialed in as little as 10 days.

Please note that due to COVID-19, some commercial payers are doubling their timeframes.

This is a rare occurrence in most states. However, in Florida and California, closed networks are occurring more frequently. In these cases, you are always eligible to replace a closed insurance plan with an alternative plan. You can also appeal the decision or simply wait for the plan to reopen. Costs for appeals vary according to the complexity of the project.

We know you have many options, but there is only one company like us. At our founding in 2008, we were the only company offering nationwide credentialing and start-up services. Since then, while there has been a crop of competitors, we are still considered the best in the business. Every year, we help thousands of healthcare providers navigate the most difficult credentialing issues. Let us help you too.

Every agreement lasts for one year or until the agreed-upon services have been fully completed.

A maintenance agreement is typically between $45-$60 per provider after the initial enrollment project is complete. All your re-credentialing needs, including revalidations and CAQH certification, will be covered in this package.

Experience Matters

We keep our clients happy by consistently focusing our attention for over 13-years on things that matter. We never waste time chasing down forms or making mistakes, because we know insurance payers’ requirements and how to meet them efficiently.

What is Physician Credentialing?

When we say physician credentialing, we’re talking about the process that practitioners go through in order to accept patients who are covered by different health plans and insurance networks. This process is also referred to as provider enrollment or insurance credentialing. The insurance payer must confirm that the provider has completed the necessary training. After that, a contract between payer and provider that specifies how the provider or organization will be compensated for its services will be formed. Credentialing also usually involves primary source verification. This is done to ensure provider compliance with requirements set by the employer or insurance firm.

We are prepared to assist your organization with the challenges of insurance enrollment and credentialing, regardless of your requirements. Every year, we enroll thousands of providers in insurance networks across the country. Our team has decades of experience and will ensure your practice receives the care and attention it requires, whether it is CAQH, Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance plans, HMOs, and more. As the first national enrollment and insurance contracting organization, our team of professionals has the knowledge and experience required to do the task correctly the first time

Should You Outsource Your Credentialing and Provider Enrollment Services?

Generally speaking, you certainly should! However, there are always outliers. When it comes to credentialing and contracting, each practice has its own set of requirements. While some are relatively simple, others are highly complex.

To ensure that the payer processes your information without delay, the credentialing process necessitates diligence and consistent follow-up. Outsourcing your provider credentialing department saves time for the physician, provider, and administrator while also ensuring a smooth provider enrollment process.

We’ve been working with this team since 2017 and I can’t do anything but express my gratitude for their service and expertise.  We have grown by over 15 providers in the past couple of years and wouldn’t have been able to do it without them.  Our revenue depends on an efficient credentialing process and we haven’t been disappointed in the slightest.
